We are about five weeks out from filming. That means things are getting serious. I’ve got most of the locations locked down, and most actors are set.
But there’s still a ton to do: getting props, deciding how we’re going to shoot each scene, creating the shooting schedule, spending lots of money that I don’t have, coordinating with the cast and crew, trying to have a life in the meantime…
Other than that, things are pretty boring around here.
One thing I know: I have a top-notch crew, and a fantastic cast. I’m confident we’re going to create something true to my vision. It’s going to be an incredibly intense 8 days of dusk-to-dawn filming (and one night of filming, when we’re shooting in a restaurant after they close at 8 p.m.)
