I’ve locked down much of the principal cast now. A lot of work, a lot of auditions, but the result is that I’ve found a bunch of really terrific actors. I’ve cast all the parts of the main family for “The Body,” including the husband, wife, and daughter, and each of them is superb.
I’m a bit behind on scripting because of the myriad duties of casting and trying to secure locations, but progress is being made. I got some scripting done today – and finished a very rough first draft of Episode 1 – and a start on Episode 2.
Part of the work is coming up with character bios along with character arcs, and multiple story arcs. A fair amount of background needs to be done, so that my characters feel like they’ve lived a life prior to me creating them. It’s a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.
