I’m finally over the mega-cold I had in France. Just in time to get surgery for basal-cell carcinoma on my face! Now, from what I’m told, if you’ve gotta have cancer, this is the kind you want. It’s non-aggressive and almost never spreads.
That seems to be the case here, as everything went well. I have a large bandage on my face for the next 10 days, but all the cancer’s gone. Seems like a reasonable trade-off.
The cast, and many extras, needed for filming is starting to coalesce as well. I’m deep into storyboarding, which continues to be an exhausting joy. Locations are coming more into focus: almost everywhere I go in Westminster now, I bring my business cards with me and ask how they’d feel about a film crew invading their space. Most have been fine with the idea, which is awesome news.
Starting work now on Episode 3, and working with another talented writer. I’ll need as much help as I can get moving forward, so that’s a big bonus.
Free advice to all: wear sunscreen and/or hats (or both) at all times! Especially if you have fair skin. Skin cancer ain’t no picnic.
Until next time.
